What to do when the surgery is closed

IN an EMERGENCY call 999.

Emergencies are situations that cannot be managed at home and may be life threatening.

Please attend A+E only if it is really necessary. If you need medical advice or to see a doctor call 111. There will be someone to provide you with advice and to direct you to a clinician if it is necessary.

Call 111 after 6:30pm until 8am weekdays, weekends and bank holidays

During core hours (lunchtime and between 8am and 9am) please call 111

Please follow this advice rather going to the hospital Accident and Emergency Department where they should be treating only those people who really need treatment for an emergency eg Breathlessness or Broken bones.

For minor ailments (tummy aches and coughs and colds) please treat at home or contact your local pharmacy.
